Farmer and Agriculture

Twenty-twenty(2020) ,the dream vision of children who have grown up writing essay on ' India in 2020 '. The year which was a hope for farmers for higher production. The year containing millions of dreams was about to come.  It was the month of  December,2019. Farmers have sown their seeds of cereals,pulses,fruits and vegetables, flowers, etc. Livestock farmers have also planned for higher production and stock in markets. The year for which all were waiting has come.Everyone celebrated ,but after a week or two, we heard the arrival of new virus named  novel corona . As the time passed it started spreading all over the world . In the month of March ,it was declared as  Pandemic . Due to which  Lockdown   was imposed in our country. Everything got closed. Such an awkward situation was never seen before in so many years.  The month of April is the 'month of Harvesting', also considered as labor-intensive month. Today ,I am going to tell you a story of two brothers.It is a story of two sons of mother Earth.  The elder son name is   Farm  and the younger son name is Tech. Farm being the elder, he is very hard working and also a responsible person of his family. He is not much educated .For his earning and living , he started farming. Meanwhile, his younger brother Tech is sent to town to study. Tech although younger ,is very smart and innovative.He started developing various technologies .Year after year,technologies grew and Tech became richer and successful. Mother Earth was very happy on seeing the success of his younger son.But on the other hand ,she was disturbed on the condition of his son Farm. Tech too loves his brother very much and was worried about him. So he called Farm, and asked him to leave his work and requested him to come to city and work with him. But Farm refused to do so. One day ,while Tech was asleep,an idea flashed his mind. He called Farm and told him that he wan

For a farmer his land is everything for him . The word "farmer" meaning in itself is a person who is the owner of a farm  . Land for farming is a farmer's biggest strength . The entire process ,from crop selection to growing and at last harvesting ,they need a fertile land .    Most of us ,when we talk about  ' What work our ancestors did? ' ,t he answer would be farming or agricultural work . Think that! why we moved to do other jobs instead of continuing that work? There are plenty of reasons behind this , such as investments , high risk of destruction due to weather changes ,the attack of insects and many more . And what could be most heart breaking for a farmer than   witnessing  an evergreen farm turn into a barren land . Thus leading them to quit this profession. Welcome  readers to the world of farmers!! A farmer is an artist of 'science and art' of cultivating plants and livestock . A farmer (an agriculturer) is a  person engaged in agricultural work, working hard in all seasons to provide us food to eat. Agriculture is  the backbone of the Indian economy ,and according to some reports it contributes 16% of the overall GDP. But today ,this backbone is in danger in this period of pandemic. It's agriculture only which provides us food we eat , and this only is the most  neglected field in this era of technology. This post is all about drawing the attention of young generation of our country towards this field.
